Frankly So Frankly So

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a snack or a topping?

Frankly So is designed as a crunchy high-protein meal topper you add to foods you already eat, like yogurt, salads, oatmeal or bowls. That said, plenty of people also eat it straight from the pack as a snack.

What does it taste like?

It’s light, crunchy and actually satisfying! Our savory flavors are somewhere between a crouton and fried onion. Our sweet flavor is more like a granola topping and always built around crunch.

How much protein is in a serving?

Each single-serve packet contains 10 grams of protein.

How is it different from protein bars / powders?

Most protein products replace what you’re eating - often as a bar or a shake.

Frankly So works differently. It adds protein to real meals you already enjoy, so you get the benefit without relying on something dense, overly sweet, or drinkable. No shakes. No bars. No routine change.

What do I put Frankly So on?

Anything you’re already eating. Just sprinkle it on when you want to add crunch and protein.

Sweet: yogurt, oatmeal, smoothie bowls, desserts

Savory: salads, avocado toast, bowls, soups, sandwiches, sushi

If it could use a little crunch, it probably works.

Can I eat it on its own?

Yes - it’s great straight from the pack.

But it’s designed to be even better when added to meals, where it brings crunch, flavor, and protein all at once.

When should I use it?

Whenever you’re eating something that could use a little more protein or crunch. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, even dessert - it fits into what you’re already doing. At home, at your desk, or mid-airport hangry moment. You get the idea.

Do I need to cook it?

Nope. Just open, sprinkle, and eat. No prep. No extra steps.

What is Frankly So made from?

Frankly So is made from wheat protein, combined with a short list of simple ingredients like non-GMO canola oil, wheat flour, salt, and seasonings. No artificial ingredients, just real food designed for crunch and protein.

Wheat protein is widely used in baked goods to improve texture. When baked it’s a protein source that creates a tasty, light, crunchy texture that makes Frankly So easy to add to everyday meals.

Is Frankly So a complete protein?

Frankly So uses wheat protein, which contains essential amino acids and works well as part of a balanced diet across the day. While it’s not classified as a complete protein on its own, what matters most is getting enough protein across your day. Frankly So adds 10g of protein to complement the meals you’re already eating, helping you feel fuller for longer without changing how you eat.

How does Frankly So compare to other protein sources?

Each packet delivers 10g of protein for about 100 calories, which is a high level of protein for a light, crunchy topping. To put that in context, getting 10g of protein from other foods can mean:

  • around 35-40 almonds (~300 calories)
  • 1 average protein bar (~200 calories)
  • or larger portions of foods that require prep or refrigeration

Frankly So delivers the same amount of protein in a simple, ready-to-use format you can add to meals you’re already eating.

Is it gluten-free?

No. Because the protein comes from wheat, Frankly So contains gluten.

Is it vegan?

Many Frankly So products are made with plant-based ingredients and are suitable for a vegan diet such as our Lightly Salted, Onion & Garlic and Apple Cinnamon flavors. All of our products are made on equipment that also processes milk & eggs.

Is it kosher?

Although our products do not contain pork or shellfish ingredients, they are not currently kosher certified.

Does it contain seed oils?

Yes. Frankly So uses a small amount of canola oil during baking to help create its light, crunchy texture and balanced flavor. Unlike deep frying, our product is baked at a relatively low temperature for a short time, which is a gentler process. Canola oil is a widely used cooking oil found in many everyday foods and we chose it for its clean, neutral taste and ability to deliver the texture the product depends on, while keeping saturated fat lower than other alternatives.

Is it high in sugar?

We keep sugar as low as possible in Frankly So products while still delivering great taste, with less than a teaspoon per packet, even in the sweet flavors.

How many servings are there per pack?

Boxes come in either 20 or 50 single-serve packs. Each pack is one serving and contains 10g of protein.

Why is it crunchy?

Frankly So is baked to create its light, crunchy texture, giving you a satisfying bite that adds flavor and texture to everyday meals.

How should I store it?

Somewhere cool and dry, and keep it sealed because crunch hates humidity. No refrigeration needed. It stays fresh for up to 12 months unopened.

What is the shelf life?

12 months from the date of production. For the most accurate information, please refer to the “Best if used by” date printed on the packaging.
